Hi
how long would I be out of action for please? Thinking having it done before Xmas because of holiday time .

Also - anyone had underarm breast tissue removed?

I know everyone is different, but personally I was back to work after 3 weeks (could have managed 2 weeks but I wasn't signed off to drive) I am office based.
Back to gym 5 weeks post op. Started doing high impact cardio around 12 weeks.
I think you can request underarm fat removal at your consult/the surgeon might recommend it once they have examined you.

Do it, it's life changing!

Thanks. Work in a school so bound by holidays and can’t wait until next summer

i had a mastopexy and lipo under the armpit. it all depends what you do for a living. i couldn't lift much more than a laundry basket at first and getting a tight blazer on would have been difficult but honestly i was okay by 2 weeks in. despite bandaged up.

i was very cautious to rest because i did not want an infection or scaring. so it wasn't that i couldn't it was more that i hoped taking it easy would prevent thick scars.

Doesn't it impact on your "enjoyment" of your breasts IYSWIM?

fallfallfall · 14/09/2022 17:41

@FredrikaPeri in my case by breasts were so pendulous the nerves to the nipple tissue were very stretched and I had little to no sensation. In my case the breast reduction surgery was a significant improvement.
my breasts were too floppy to be of any enjoyment, they reduced my ability to sleep comfortably as I had to scoop them out of my armpits multiple times a night, the cost of bras, and limited ability to exercise all were a significant life impact.

Gosh that does sound tough. I’m just bored of always having to consider mine. Plus will only get worse in age
