I’ve just been prescribed this today and wondered if anyone had any experience of taking it and what the side effects are. I will read the leaflet and I’ve read the one the hospital gave me but wondered what the effects might be.

Yes I take this and apart from some nausea initially I find it pretty tolerable, whereas Methotrexate was another story! Obviously the biggest hassle with it is the risk of infection and Covid, but I just try to keep good hygiene and wear a ffp2 mask when out in enclosed spaces.

Thank you, I’ve started taking it now and feel a bit tired but otherwise not too bad.

I take it but im fighting with my consultant to try something else. Im ill all the time, and each time im ill its way worse than normal. For example in the space of 6 months i had
Shingles that lasted 14 weeks and covered half my body
Mumps for 4 weeks
Covid for 6 weeks
Its horrible, but as it is helping my lungs my doctor wants me to stay on it. I feel like i have zero quality of life and no one cares.

That sounds awful, I hope they listen to you and give you something else.

How’s it going Splodgerbodgerbadger? You’ve had a few days on it now, is the tiredness getting any better?

Sorry to hear that you’re having such a bad time with it Redannie118 - it’s such a balancing act with all these drugs and I sometimes feel they come with more risks than the illness. I purposely haven’t read the information leaflet too closely as I know it will terrify me! 😁

Much better thanks, all the side effects seem to have stopped and my condition is improving despite getting an infection.
