So recently went into hospital and found I had cellulitis with some sepsis, was kept in 4 days with an IV for most of the time, was prescribed flucloxacillin high strength (I think 500mg) 2, 4 times a day for a week after leaving hospital. Infection has cleared up, bloods all normal and cellulitis looking better but will take time to heal properly. The day I came home I had pain in my side, almost to the point i felt sick, was salivating and swallowing more like I do before vomiting but never did actually vomit. I had this the first two days, when the pain left it was as if it never happened! It then died off so assuming it was just nausea and stomach upset as the leaflet says it's a side affect. It came along again on the last 2 days of taking them, no where near as severe but still there, and still continuing now, but again not as strong, its a really odd mixture of pain, more like a discomfort most of the time, has anyone had this? I'm hoping it's just a delayed side effect that's going to wear off? I would say I get one flare up a day.
I notice today it was triggered by carrying my son and getting him in and out of the car so unsure if it's all been a muscle issue not an internal pain? I did have aching there before becoming unwell which I had put down to carrying a bag for work ( I havent been working for last 2 years so would be new weight to bear again)
The pain it sort of halfway between my Ribs and hips, and like I said mainly feels like an ache. And in the past I found of I lie awkward I can get cramp there.
May also be worth noting I came off my birth control 2/3 weeks ago and 2 days after coming home I had my withdrawal/first period so also wasn't sure if its just where everything has started 'working' again. I don't feel unwell in any other way and on my check on Friday bloods and obs were fine, hr a little high but I'm really anxious in any medical setting I can feel my heart beat as soon a someone goes near me 🤦♀️ they even did an ecg and that was fine, I spoke to doctor about pains and he seems a little baffled then but had a prod around and said everything seemed okay so 🤷♀️
I will be calling the gp in the next few days before my sick note for work runs out to make sure it's nothing suspicious but just looking to see if anyone had similar experience?
