Tonsilitus round 5!

2.9 yr old DD has started showing obvious symptoms of tonsilitus. If I’m correct (I’m 99.9% sure I am) this will be her FIFTH time since Jan. We have a referral to ENT to discuss tonsillectomy on the 29th of this month.

Woke up complaining of a headache, and feeling V tired and has slowly worsened throughout the course of the day.

Under normal circumstances she is a duplicate of the Duracell bunny, has so much energy and doesn’t sit still. Today however she has spent practically silent laying on the sofa and in and out of naps.

We are due to fly out on a big family holiday on Monday morning (one which MIL has treated us too!) which I’m now obviously extremely stressed about as I know how badly tonsilitus affects her and it generally knocks her off her feet for a fair few days.

I feel like just unpacking the cases and putting our passports away. :(

Can you call 111 and get a GP appointment, if you can get the antibiotics tonight she might be ok for Monday?
I know how miserable it can be.

@Munchyseeds2 Already have the AB’s. She’s had 2 doses administered so far.

Raging temp and still really lethargic. She’s in bed asleep now but sooooo sweaty. I’m heartbroken for her.

:(
