Hi all, hoping for some guidance after the quickest phone call ever from my GP yesterday...

Background: I went for my routine smear last week and mentioned a raised area near my appendix scar and the discomfort it gives from time to time. She had a prod and booked me in with the GP that pm. She did an internal and could see I was very tender in that areas. Referred me for a scan ...

I went for bloods Wednesday and another gp called me yesterday saying my ttg is high and she's referring me to gastro , she ask if I get gas , I do but no more than anyone else I think , I do bloat , but not all the time , I get alot if headaches and I do get knackered but then I'm a working mother so life can get busy ...
She's prescribed omeprazole for now.
So... I was thinking, a urgent referral to gastro won't be very quick as we all know ... no idea when the scan is . Should I start a GF diet now and then go back to normal two weeks prior to gastro? I really want to see if this helps the raised area as this is a daily stop me in my tracks issue...

Thank u

Don't start a GF diet until you have had tests. From my understanding you to be still eating wheat for around 6 weeks before the test for the test to be accurate.
Hope you get your appointment soon.

Thank you , it's a difficult one as I am uncomfortable with this area and guess I want a quick fix. Hopefully the appointment comes through this year ! 😂
