DM likely has bowel cancer: can I speed up FIT test

The Doc thinks my mum has bowel cancer.
And to get the gastroscopy referral we need some stuff like samples sorted, and one of them is the FIT test. Apparently the turn around is 2 weeks - this is of course unacceptable for us as we are so worried.

Any way if speeding this up? Like would the private hospital be able to speed it up ? Can they administer tests? I just have no idea: we have done everything we can to help her - for such a long time we thought she had long covid. Any advice would be so appreciated

Sorry to hear that, but why are they saying 2 weeks? i had one recently - picked up sample pot from GP, gave in sample next day. A few days later results were in - all within a week.

You can order such a test in Amazon. Very much like pregnancy/COVID test.

Will doc accept an external FIT test?

Hope your mum is ok. I also did a FIT test last Friday. Had the results Monday morning
