Bladder polyp/ Cystoscopy

Hi all does any one Have an experience with bladder issue..I had an ovary scan (yearly check) that picked up a bladder polyp 5mmx4mm…I’ve googled so much and I’m terrified :( I have Cystoscopy on Sunday but I’m a nervous wreck! I don’t have any symptoms! Doctors have done few dip stick test and haven’t found anything untoward on those! Doctors have given me diazepam as I’m a mess currently …

Is the cystoscopy under general or without?

Right. I've had the cystoscopy not under general. Quick and painless. If you are not a male smoker over 70 years old then the chances of the polyp being malignant are extremely small. Especially as you haven't had visible blood in urine.

Take the diazepam and best of luck.

Thanks for your reply! I’m a 36 year old female ..I’d say casual smoker ..smoked on and off for around 13 years…sometimes not smoking for years at a time and some times one or 2 a week …I don’t have any symptoms ..Doctors did dip stick test and didn’t see any blood
