Evening!

Just got my TSH back today (was part of a blood test taken at my dating scan appointment), it’s 0.22 and the arrow points to this being too low. But the doctor has just written ‘satisfactory’. Does anybody know how to interpret this please?

thanks x

Best check with your Dr but my (non expert) understanding is that it is expected to be lower during pregnancy and first trimester bottom range is above 0.2 so yours would be ok.

Looks fine as it should be under 1 or 2 ideally in pregnancy but TSH on its own is quite unreliable as my own fluctuates even if my ft4 and ft3 are stable. So they should be checking those but thyroid patients like me will tell you good luck with requesting those.

Thanks! It was 0.66 last year, didn’t realise pregnancy affected it.

That’s a good TSH - it means your thyroid isn’t struggling to produce enough of the hormone.
