Hey
I have Graves’ disease was diagnosed back in January 2023
it’s been a real journey thus far ,
firstly my thyroid was severely overactive was prescribed highest dose of carbimazole and propanalol 3 times a day
then realised I was being over medicated and it went under active GP then diagnosed me with hashimotos because I was defiantly showing antibodies - anyway it wasn’t hashimotos at all I had to see a private endocrinologist to confirm it was graves I was suffering from
had to have list of tests to reaffirm Graves’ disease including ultrasound ect, and was told to come off all meds until it went into full swing graves again (overactive)
then was put on a slightly lower dose of carbimazole and now can feel going under again so meeting with consultant Tuesday to hopefully Lower the dose.
i am currently loosing lots of hair which is the worst part , I just can’t wait for levels to be stable and to start feeling me again 😌to any Graves’ disease sufferers out there I feel your pain ,. It isn’t easy and here if want to talk
