Reliable private thyroid check

Can't get an appointment with the GP but I'd really like to get my thyroid checked (long list of systems and I've always been borderline when the GP does blood tests).

Can anyone recommend a reliable private test, preferably one I can do at home? Preferably one the GP would take seriously if I went in with the results

In my experience GPS don't take any private tests seriously, but you might be able to use private results as a lever to get proper testing on the NHS.
