Painful varicose vein in the morning

Hello,

i am 26 weeks pregnant and in my last pregnancy 2 years ago developed a varicose vein in my left inner thigh. It starts just above the knee but on the inner leg and goes all the way up to my pelvis with 5 large lumps. It disappeared after last pregnancy but has re appeared now.

Every night I wake up in pain from it and it hurts for about 15 minutes when first walking on it. Does anyone know if this is normal or needs to be checked? I never had this pain last time apart from if I was walking on it all day. It’s when it is rested it seems worse in the mornings. just a bit worried !

I would get it checked out.

@Sanxx did you ever get any relief from this? I have exactly the same as you at 32 weeks but iv had pain for months and it's getting worse. Tights are impossible to put on. Had a DVT ruled out last week but they've offered nothing for the swelling or pain, not sure how I'm going to get through the next few months!
