Does anyone else get these?

I have never experienced one until about 6 months ago. It was bloody massive. I couldn't help but squeeze all of the pus out.

It went away for a couple of months and then I think I cut that area shaving and got another one. A month later and it's back again.

How the hell do you get rid of these for good??

No suggestions but I’d also love to know the answer. I had one a few months ago; popped it and ended up with a rather nasty lymph node infection and a hospital trip! Lots of antibiotics later and it had cleared up but I’ve had a couple of little ones since then!

You might need a marsupialisation- which its minor surgery, but leaves it open with a pouch to release the pus. No- never had this myself, but they are common and painful so sympathies OP. Have you seen your GP yet?

I had surgery under general anaesthetic to remove it and then weeks of visits at home from district nurse to pack and dress it.

Thus was over 40 years ago though so perhaps not the way NHS treat them now.

It has never come back so successful outcome. I think if any of my DDs had one I would be looking at private treatment to remove it.
