2 week referral for breast lump

Is this normal? Got a small lump, I think it's probably a cyst and nurse practitioner is over reacting. But is a 2 week referral normal?

Yes. It's normal.
Don't read too much into it. Most lumps/anomalies are on a 2 week pathway but very few turn out to be anything nasty.
But if it does need treatment, the sooner the better.
I've had lumps checked and luckily for me, nothing to worry about.

I had the same, try not to read anything into it x

Normal. May take longer than 2 weeks currently.

Most 2 week referrals turn out to be nothing.

overitall1 · 31/08/2022 10:56

My "2 week" pathway was 3 months. Luckily nothing wrong but my DM had died of breast cancer 9 months earlier so as you can imagine my MH was not good.

That's all reassuring and helpful. Sorry @overitall1 that must have been really hard for you.
