What exercise can I do that won't bore me to tears?

I want to do some regular proper exercise. I walk a lot and do stuff with DS, but I mean a class or something - but I am so easily bored... my mind wanders and I just can't be arsed. I want something really energetic but interesting, some kind of dance or something that will interest the mind. Can anybody recommend something they've done? I'm not bothered about weight loss or toning any particular body parts, I just want the glowing feeling and mental lift.

NB I hate hate hate pilates and yoga. Boooooring. I want to leap about but in an interesting way.

I like Carmenere's, though you can keep Johnny - I'm having a King Creosote thing at the moment.

Body Pump or RPM (Spinning)? Classes about an hour and great music! Not boring, I promise and the effects on fitness/body shape are brilliant!

Thanks smithy - I've been having a look online and I'm attracted to body pump and "bodyjam" (doesn't sound all that nice, but apparently it's dance-based). Might book one!

ooh yeah spinning, it's a total killer, no waaay you could get bored.

If you actually did a spinning class (or veloton it's called in these parts) once or twice a week you would be so fit.

I so don't I should add.

Hurrah - my researches have uncovered step, bodythis&that, and RPM at a centre only 5 mins away - brilliant.

Off to bed so thanks all.

After years of starting various classes and getting bored or losing motivation, I started attending 5 Rhythms dance classes about 6 months ago and LOVE it! Like clubbing without the booze - certainly fits the description of leaping about in an interesting way and I've been known to go along more than once a week! One of the things I really like is that there's no right way to do it, so nothing to get wrong. No idea if there's any in your neck of the woods, but I heartily recommend it if there is!

I've just started going to a belly-dancing class. It's fantastic! Just hard enough physically, quite challenging mentally, and a real laugh.

Let us know how you get on Snowleopard! I lurve Body Pump and RPM. Want to try Body Attack next. Just finding the time! Can't get to RPM today as DS1 is off sick and flaked out on the sofa watching Jetix. Oh well!

You can find more info about each class here including moves, latest music and what to expect!
