i posted this on another thread

ive had coil for about year and half maybe bit less.last 5 months or so periods have become much much worse.2 weeks before i get really sore boobs, light stomach cramps, migranes and start getting ratty.when i have my period i get all that but with bad stomach cramps and i become the devil in disguise!they have never really been like that.could it be coil or something else?

but now my stomach is swollen and really sore just above csection scar-ive had 3,last one 2 years ago.

any advice?

The gynaecologist said the swelling above my scar was definitely fluid retention, which is usually hormonal, and nothing to do with the scar itself.

moljam · 22/01/2008 16:39

oooh interesting,so do you get it worse around your period?

Yes I do, but currently have it most of the time, is very annoying as I feel I look pregnant! I had massive problems with fibroids before, which can be caused by excess oestrogen, so I think my hormones must be a bit wonky!!

I haven't had a c-section but had a laparotomy to remove a boarderline tumor about 6 months ago. SInce then I feel that my scar has swollen slightly on one side. I went to the GP and she said yes there was a slight swelling (possible small hernia) but nothing to worry about. So glad to hear I'm not the only one.

well went today.got to go back on wednesday and thursday for blood tests and swabs.thinks either just hormonal or some sort of infection or coil.suggested maybe having coil removed and starting pill if coil is problem.
least im not splitting in two
also said evening primose oil for boobs which i take anyway but hadnt been taking properly!
