I’m a bit obsessive with moles and freckles and regularly have them checked however I stupidly didn’t know birthmarks could be of concern, I have an oval birthmark on my leg that I’ve had all my life and never really took a lot of notice of, so I’m not sure how quickly it has changed in the past.
Since I realised birthmarks also need to be checked about 18 months ago I’ve had it checked by my GP and also a private dermatologist, the private derm was only about 4 weeks ago and he did a very thorough check of it and was happy with it and remarked that the rules ‘can be different’ for birthmarks compared to moles.
I’ve checked my birth mark again today and it seems to have gotten a little bigger on one side, almost like it’s ‘leaked’ a little bit. I’m so tired of worrying, surely if it was something to worry about it would’ve been picked up 4 weeks ago. I just don’t know whether to leave it or whether I should be calling someone…again.
