Just got back from a holiday with the DC during which I noticed that one of DD2’s moles had changed a lot. It’s on her hip and used to be flat, but when she was in her bikini I noticed that it was now raised and looked a bit like a skin tag. Obviously alarm bells started ringing in my head and I asked her about it, she said that it had changed about two years ago and doesn’t hurt so she didn’t seem worried! I can’t confirm this as I haven’t seen her in swimwear since before Covid. The mole is soft to the touch and the raised bit moves around. It doesn’t seem to have changed in size but could have done marginally.
I have told her she needs to ring the GP in the morning for an appointment to have it looked at. But I am worried sick knowing that it’s been there for two years and might now be serious skin cancer. She has a lot of moles. And my mind is going to the worst case scenarios, but I don’t want to frighten her. Does anyone have any experience of a similar situation?
