Does anyone have this?
Kind of hyperpigmentation on the face (primarily bridge of nose, upper lip, cheeks and forehead).
I am dark skinned, but struggling to work out what is causing it (other than I am on HRT).

Has anyone found a good remedy they could share, as it is getting on my nerves a bit.

Thanks.

Yes, I do. I had it in pregnancy and then it went away, I think it came back when I started using combined contraceptive pill.

I haven’t found anything that’s made it go completely. Microneedling is supposed to be good but if it’s very dark then it needs more than one session. I’ve had one but then went on holiday in the sun so hard to say if it worked at all!

sunscreen highest factor is the only thing.

niaciamide products also claim to reduce pigmentation but not sure if that mostly marketing or if it really works.

Thanks.
Yes, I am wondering whether it is a combinination of hormone and sun induced.
I have been on HRT for a couple of years or more, so I am surprised it has kicked off now.

I have eucerin night cream which claims to reduce dark spots, but who knows if it will work!

I have this, I'm very freckly and I'm on the pill. I get it mainly on my forehead and my top lip where it looks like my lips are bleeding out, smudged.

You need a good vitamin c product to help lift the pigment out and encourage cell turnover. Aspect Pigment punch is really good as is Skinceuticals CE Ferulic but it's quite pricey. And Spf 50 every day without fail! I've got Asian skin and grew up on NZ and Australia so I can get quite a lot of freckles on my cheekbones and nose from my misspent youth. The above sorts it within a few weeks.

Yes. Caused by combined pill, sun exposure and not using sunscreen. Ten years on and it's never gone away. I've tried everything. One session of microneedling did help but it's expensive. I wear sunscreen and a hat in Summer now to preveny it worsening. REN glow range are the most effective products I've found and I've tried a few including Eucerin and Fade Out.

I’m dark skinned too and get this around my mouth, sun exposure definitely makes its worse. I wear factor 50 all year round and have used Eucerin in the past - it improves it but is slow working.
I discovered Tranexamic acid at Superdrug and works quickly and clears it. My niece suffers badly from hyperpigmentation as soon as she sees the sun and this acid is gentle enough for her young skin.

I am also on HRT and suffered from hyperpigmentation before I started it. The HRT has not made it any better or worse for me.

The dermatologist prescribed pigmanorm cream for my pigmentation....has anyone used it? If so is the cream supposed to look white? I opened it and it looks like a cream/pale yellowish colour...is this normal?
