Should I get my sons toe nails checked out? Pic

These are results of playing too much football and using your toes to kick the ball ⚽🙈. They appear dry, doesn't seem to hurt too much but I'm worried about ingrowing toe nails although they haven't fallen off yet. Do you think they need checking out by a GP or Podiatrist? I know a GP removed my toe nail once but that was many moons ago.

photo? Ingrowing toenails don't tend to fall off, if anything they do the opposite and hold on! Could it be a fungal infection if he spends a lot of time in trainers.

I would go to GP. Looks like fungal infection

I'd also think fungal infection. They're also cut too short and rounded so he's at risk of getting ingrowing toenails.

I also think fungus. Ask at the chemist.

See a podiatrist, they are the foot specialists.

you can get some pretty good treatments for fungal nail on the shelf or over the counter at the pharmacy. GPs can't do much.

In my experience, the best treatment is Lamisil which you have to do EVERY DAY for months. And wash the socks in hot water so you don't keep reinfecting it.

This is the active ingredient you want to look for in a cream from the pharmacy.

OK thank you. He's constantly playing footie so he doesn't give his toes a rest.
