Would a hospital waste its time to discuss negative blood test results?

Bit concerned as I received a call to go back in to discuss my blood test results tomorrow. All my normal blood tests were fine. These were specialist tests apparently looking for VGCC antibodies. I spent two weeks in hospital for unexplained muscle weakness and fatigue. I was allowed home under the care of my GP and he was to apply for the results of the tests and tell me about them.

Why then are the hospital asking me to go in and discuss them?

Calm me down please.

Yes of course - if results are negative they might want to discuss with you further exploratory options to find out the cause of your weakness and fatigue.

yup. my sister had an actual face to face appointment to discuss her results which were all fine.

Thank you! I stupidly never thought they would be discussing alternatives maybe.
