Caesarean-Apron pain?

So this might be weird - but I can't think of anywhere else to ask!

2 c sections 10+ years ago
Several stone of weight gained in last few years
Horrible large hanging apron over the scar

Apart from how hideous it looks and feels - I now seem to be getting quite severe pains in the actual apron.

Comes and goes and can be excruciating for a few moments.

I feel like it's very much in the 'fat' section as opposed to in my lower abdomen.

Any ideas, anyone had similar?

So strange that I should read this tonight - I had a c section 2 years ago and also have the dreaded apron. Very occasionally I also get a twinge which feels like it’s in the fat rather than my abdomen. I haven’t been to see anyone about it as it’s very sporadic. I’m am wondering if it could just be some residual nerve issue. I did have an umbilical hernia repair after my first baby but i don’t think it’s come back so I’m at a bit of loss! Maybe someone will be along soon to enlighten us both! Having the apron is the bits. I have lost 7lbs recently which has made a little difference. I don’t think I will ever have a tummy tuck but have seen some amazing results online.

@frozenorangejuice well done on losing some pounds - this has to be my next mission!

Nerve pain makes sense to me - that is kind of how it feels - but I'm a decade on and wonder why it would suddenly start now.

(And the tummy tuck.... one day!!!)

Right?! Feels like a pipe dream! I often go on a group on facebook to see the results of ‘mummy makeovers’ and those surgeons are nothing short of miracle workers!

I’m wondering re the pain - have you started doing anything new like an exercise program that’s maybe pulled something? Or maybe it’s gastrointestinal rather than muscular?

The weight loss has definitely helped my self esteem and I have promised myself that when I get down to a healthy bmi (currently in the overweight category) that I will look more into surgical options or even maybe into something like fat cell freezing. I’ve found that swimming has helped to give me a bit of shape back at the sides so I’m less apple looking!
