My feet hurt and I’m hobbling after waking or resting

Anyone have this? I wake up and hobble with the pain. Also pain and hobbling after sitting down. Once I’m up and walking it wears off and I can normally walk miles but today I went out for the first time in a few days (heat avoidance) and it was also hurting after walking.

The pain is along the outside of the foot, the outer toe, the heel. Plantar fasciitis seems to be more specific to the heel. I don’t have obvious heat or swelling to indicate RA.

I’m overweight and menopausal, almost 50. Hypothyroid on replacement but the autoimmune thyroid test was negative.

Anyone else?

It sounds like plantar fasciitis to me. I have it. Came on very d suddenly a few months ago. I always have a pair of sliders by the bed as wearing them immediately stops that initial pain when you get up. I also got some insoles for my shoes/trainers made specifically for PF. I use a spiky ball to rub my foot on and do stretching exercises. Otherwise, I'd see your GP because it can cause all sorts of issues with knee/hip etc

It could just be arthritic changes. I have it in my heal. Being overweight doesn’t help.

Foot pain can be a menopause symptom. I had exactly this, worst on getting up in the morning. Went with HRT.

I have this aswell! Also been wondering what it is.. but I’m early 30s and 6 months post partum. I’ve only had it since baby was born!! Prior to pregnancy I was running 5-10km weekly and gym several times plus walking lots. Makes no sense!!! X

Thanks all. Quite different issues for you all. I’d better see the GP by the sounds of it. Will work on weight loss too…

I’ve been wearing Vans or my work shoes. At home barefoot most of the time. Probably not great. It’s definitely better with my walking shoes but it’s too hot for those.
