When to do a pregnancy test

Hey, just wanted to know if anyone is in the same boat as me, or dealt with a similar situation. I'm currently 8 days late on my period...

I've done a test and it was negative. Have I done it too soon? Should I do it again in a couple of days? What's your experience?

What test did you take? I'd expect the majority of them to be very accurate at 8 days late (although there's always a story when it wasn't!). You might just be having a super long cycle.

I took a standard pregnancy urine test. With my son I found out 2 weeks after my period as pregnancy tests kept showing negative. Just so confused
