Sciatica without back pain?

I've got a burning pain radiating down one leg from bottom of buttocks to behind the knee. Slightly stiff lower back but no pain actually in that area. It's been like it for a couple of weeks the pain isn't excruciating but it's enough to be really aggravating me.

Usual paracetamol, ibuprofen and co codamol don't seem to make a difference

I guess it's sciatica - has anyone got any magic advice before I get an appt with someone?

I get sciatica without back pain it is miserable. I found acupuncture amazing. Pregabalin is also good

Yes I have had this my gp sent me to physio you need to stretch your leg muscles.
Look on YouTube for some easy stretching for it it does work after a couple of days doing them.
