Kidney infection

Hi everyone, I spent the day in A&E yesterday after being sent there by my GP. Turns out I have a kidney infection. I was given antibiotics and anti sickness through a drip, then sent home with co-amoxiclav to take 3 times a day for a week. I've never had a kidney infection before, so I'm wondering if anyone can share their experiences of recovery. I've got two small
DDs (age 4 and 18 months) which makes resting tricky, but luckily they are in nursery today and on Monday. The pain in my back is horrible, and every time I try and eat, I feel sick. I'm wondering now whether I should have asked for some anti sickness medication to take at home, or if this is just a normal part of the infection that I have to ride out. Any comments of experiences with this are very welcome. Thank you!
