I have a virus, have tested for covid but negative, I have had a horrible dry cough and sore throat for a week, throat isn’t as sore and the cough not continues but I have awful coughing fits that come on very suddenly and result in me retching or being sick, the coughing also makes my heart race and my head pound. Like all coughs it’s ten times worse at night or if I lie down during the day. I am a emetophobe so my anxiety is through the roof as I keep feeling like I’m going to be sick.
is there anything I can do to relieve the symptoms? I have cough sweets, cough medicine and have tried steam but nothing really helps.
