A couple months ago i found a lymphnode in my neck, after numerous trips to docs they referred me to hematology who did a blood tests (i think 18 different tests in total, 5 tubes of blood taken) anyway all come back normal.
consultant gave me the option of a CT as she could tell i was really anxious (one of the options was to wait 6 months and go back).
She rang me with my results and started off saying "good news your CT has come back fine"... she said there was 1 in my neck and 1 in my armpit, both looked normal and was less than 1cm. She said given ive no other symptoms and they look normal and are less than 1cm she doesnt think any further action (biopsy) is required but she will keep me on her books for 12 months that way if i do get any symptoms or if the nodes seem to get bigger then i can ring her secretary and she will see me earlier rather than go through a GP again.
I suffer really bad with health anxiety and everyone is telling me to stop worrying now as the consultant sees this stuff everyday so if she thought anything was wrong at all she wouldn't make me wait 12 months.
Would you feel reassured with this? Should i stop worrying? 🙈
