Contraceptive pill info

Have been on Marvelon for about 13 years (apart from when I was pg). This month I have started my period while I still have 3 days of pills to take. This has never happened before - should I be worried? Should I take the remaining pills? Was going to ring NHS direct but it seemed too trivial.

Has anyone an idea??

I was also on marvelon, if it's a 1 off and provided you haven't missed any pills i wouldn't be worried!! yes carry on taking the remaining pills and have the normal 7 day break. If it happens again next month or you have any other unusual things happening, pain or bleeding inbetween your period, then i would book an appointment to see your gp. i've had to stop taking it because it was making my periods a lot longer and very painful and giving me bad headaches. my dh is hopefully going to be getting the snip so i should be ok once that all done

I am looking forward to the day my dh has the snip (though I'm sure he isn't!). Thanks for the advice bitcat.
