I have a tooth at the top which has a deep filling in it and a sort of peg thing to help support it against the upper gum.
I noticed a day ago a hard tiny bit of tooth come away and in the mirror I can see a vertical slither has come away and left dentine (I assume) open.
DOesnt hurt at all.

QUestion is do I need to make an emergency appointment or can it wait till a check up I have in 2 weeks?

Hi hercules1. I'm a dentist and it sounds as if you could get awaay with it until your check up - if it starts to hurt you do need to get in sooner though.(Dont hold me to this though, I cant really tell without looking). It will definately be ok to leave till normal office hours on monday if you are not sure then

Thanks. I will call dentist on Monday. Just spent 2 thousand on an implant on another tooth and really cant face another big pay out. Hopefully it wont need much work!
