just had a coil fitted and bleeding

It's the copper kind. I've had mild bleeding and menstrual pains since a few hours after the fitting. Is it normal ? I called my gyne but didn't get an appropriate answer.

I had the copper coil fitted back in May. I had quite sever menstrual pain for a few days, then light menstrual pain for about two weeks with bleeding. My period was heavy for a few months, but has been "normal" since September.

My gyne told me my period would be heavier but I didn't think I would bleed at all until the next cycle. Ah well...
I'm ok thanks. The pains have mostly gone, they only lasted a day.

Oh, I was nearly at maternity pads stage again!
