Neck swollen after general anaesthetic

I had GA earlier today, about 3pm. Both sides of my neck are now very swollen and sore - one side more than the other. Like when you have a bad cold or something. Hurts a fair bit when moving in any way.

Is this something to be concerned about?

Intubation can leave your throat sore and bruised. See how it is tomorrow and get back in touch with them if it's getting worse.

Intubation doesn’t give you a swollen neck.

OP, there’s not enough in your post to say whether it’s something worrying or not. Your best bet is to either speak to someone on the ward you were on or get 111 advice (tonight). If you have difficulty breathing/swallowing/or the swelling is increasing dramatically/or you’re making a squeaky noise when you breathe you should get urgent help/attend ED.

It's a huge swollen lump this morning, just on the left side, the right side has gone down. It goes from my jaw to my collar bone almost. Painful to touch and when I move but it's not inside my throat so no issues swallowing etc
