DLA for anorexia?

Have been advised to claim disability living allowance for my daughter who will obviously need lots of ongoing support and supervision when she is discharged from the unit next month.

Has anyone here successfully claimed DLA for this or a similar condition? Any advice?

Vacua - I claim DLA for my dd's medical condition, heart related though, so not a similar condition I'm sure you probably can get it - it's a horrible form to fill in though so be warned.

This is a good site for info and you may find some of the mental health sites also have useful links. Do you belong to any type of support group? Again they may have some pointers with reagrd to filling in the forms. The DWP can be much influenced by the way the form is filled in and the language used.

Good luck.

I'm filling in one atm. My legacy of AN plus ongoing mental health issues, depression actually...it isn't too bad I think. I don't know if I'll get it but my advisor thinks I will qualify for low rate...wish I could tell you if you'd get it, but sounds likely to me.

I meant the form ain't too bad. Not the depression, which is ghastly, I tell you, simply ghastly
