Headache and extreme eyeball pain

I started to get extreme eyeball pain whilst sitting on the beach in Spain, under an umbrella and with sunglasses. My eyeballs and the eye sockets were just really painful and I had to close my eyes and sleep. A couple of mornings my jaw was also painful and I couldn't open my mouth. My eyes weren't

Upon arriving back in the UK the extreme eyeball pain eased, but they just feel tired now and just a headache.

I have used decongestants, antihistamine, eyedrops. Went to the opticians yesterday who said she couldn't see anything except that my anterior chamber or something was alot narrower, but has she didn't have my previous history didn't know if this was normal for me.

She has referred me to an ophthalmologist.

I'm not sensitive to light, but I wake up with heavy eyes and feel like I have not slept

Has anyone experienced similar?

best to also see gp
