Hi👋🏽 I had my gallbladder removed in dec 2021 operation went well, recovered quickly. I noticed in Jan everything I was eating was going through me, no matter what I ate, even minutes after eating I’d have to go to the toilet (sorry tmi) I felt constantly tired and nauseous. Been the drs and they done blood tests, done a stool sample and it was raised and the drs was concerned with my age and my symptoms. Been for scans and my dr sent me an urgent referral to gastroenterology and it’s made me really anxious.
whenever I’m out I get tummy pains, hot flushes and I have to literally run to find the nearest toilet, has anyone else had similar problems?
thanks

Possibly bile acid malabsorption. Can be an issue after a cholecystectomy. I had it due to where my crohns was active. I had a SeHCAT scan and treatment was medication and very effective. Hope you don’t need to wait too long. Here’s the wiki page about BAM…
