Men smell like urine to me

There was a bloke at work, I was telling my dh about, who looks well kept etc. But smells of piss.
Then yesterday, I dh was washing up and I hugged him from behind and kissed his back and noticed he smelled like this guy at work, I've never known my dh smell like that before (we've been together for 24 years)
Then today, I was reaching for something and leant close to another (different) male colleague and he too, smelled of urine.
I'm beginning to think that these men don't actually smell like urine at all and v that it's me!
What the hell is going on?

Covid? Anything else smells distorted?

All men? Or a man at work who maybe doesn't have great hygiene and your dh on the hottest day of the year? Wondering if you're maybe just getting a "you need a shower" smell!

its stupidly hot, guys are going to smells even if they are clean.Ask your other half to use dettol soap before usual body wash and use talc after wash.It will help so much with the sweating .My poor other half has been sweating so much its unreal waking up to his wet side of the bed.Hopefully not covid but a test wouldn't hurt

Maybe you just have a sensitive sense of smell? Men don't wipe like women do, so there are often drops of urine on their underwear and it seems you can smell it. Lucky you!

Could it menopause? Or peri? I'm peri and my sense of smell is way off . Worse than after I had covid tbh. It is really hot though and it might not be a piss smell it might be like really bad sweat smell iyswim. Like a vinegar piss type smell. My 11 year old smelt like that yesterday after sweating like a dog in this heat.

I have a extra sensitive nose (useful sometimes) and I think most people smell but yes, I notice quite a few men smell of urine 😬

After I had Covid all men’s sweat smells like red onions/meaty:sour sweet sweat. It’s plagued me and I’ve googled it so much! It’s starting to reduce now after a few months. My friend says it’s a però-menopause thing but Covid seems to be my trigger. I’ve had Covid 3 times but first was right at the start. Only my post vaccine Covid seems to have caused it so maybe the vaccine?!?! Who knows but mine is going away now thank god! Even my 13 year old ds smelt a bit of it so perhaps it’s hormones!? You have my sympathies!!

I am so glad to read this post. I thought I was odd. I regularly think men smell of urine and have for a very longtime, including my partner. I am mid thirties but I suppose it still could be menopause

I'm early 40s and already having some peri symptoms. I didn't realise this could be one of them.
Never in my years, have I experienced this before, it's awful.
Dh is very very clean, actually too clean! He showers twice a day. Before and after work.
