do herbal remedies really work?

Have bad acne, had all the anti biotics and been to dermatologist who advised roaccutane but dont want to go on it to cut a long story short!

Have read that agnus castus plus berberis aquifolium were good for acne. Any one had any positive experiences? I saw a homeopath during pregnancy and after and tried loads of remedys and they never did any thing for me. I use a tincture for ds that really works but want to try the above for my skin

I personally would say that I would think that herbal remedies have a higher chance of working then Homeopathic medicine, because, that is really just water and belief,lol...but Herbs do have active ingredients and can be very potent.
