Periods suddenly became irregular in january

I'm 31 years old, and my periods have always been really regular with a cycle length always between 29 and 31 days up until January.

I had a period that bgan 25th December, I then had no period at all until 9th March (73 days). The next too were regular ish, with one beginning 14th April and the next on the 23rd May.

However since then, I havnt had a period.

Is it possible I'm having an early menopause!? Has anyone else had their periods suddenly go irregular like this?

That's sounding a lot peri, yes.

No other symptoms? No huge weight loss or anything like that?

missymarrk · 13/07/2022 14:24

Defo go to the gp and get it investigated! I thought I was peri (still do mind) but they tested FSH and say they are fine! Go figure! No real resolution except for - periods change and there is nothing sinister to blame, so put up!

No huge weight lost, I am overweight though but it's not fluctuating at all.

My libido is 0, and I've been having issues with down below feelibg really uncomfortable and itchy, but this predates the periods fucking off by about a year

Check out the NICE Menopause Guidelines 1.6 POI here and have a chat with your GP. More than one FSH tests should be done to diagnose. Often vaginal dryness can be an initial system for which local estrogen can help www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng23/chapter/Recommendations

I was going to ask if you possibly have Covid around then - I know that messed up a lot of women's cycles, however from your other posts it sounds like there is more going on and you should be seen by your GP. Have you visited them since you started getting itchy and uncomfortable, had any tests done for recurrent thrush or other infections?

jeffersonsam · 13/07/2022 15:02

If you don't have any body pain or weight loss, please seek doctor help immediately.

I'm 32 and my periods have gone from every 28 days like clockwork to ranging between 31-24. Wondering how normal that is?

I've also been quite itchy down there and skin in general the week before my period is due.

I wondered if it was maybe peri but I didn't know if my periods would be considered irregular?

PepsiMaxandPringleStacks · 13/07/2022 15:18

Also most recent period had paint radiating from my hip down to my thigh as well as the usual cramps and backache..

I did have a Pfizer booster in January and initially wondered if it was that, but I don't imagine it would be having am effect this far down the line? Especially as the actual vaccination efficacy has probably worn off by now!
