Sore lump on scalp for months

Any ideas of what this lump on my head could be? The area is much larger and deeper feeling than is suggested by the appearance of the smaller read lump in the image. Any pressure on it (or knocking of my brush) hurts. Sometimes it weeps too.

I suggest you go to the dr. A friend had a lump that looked like a pimple on his scalp. It was a skin cancer and removing it required 15 stitches to get it all out.

I've just made an appointment at the weekend to see a GP. Thank you.

Hoping it's not that. I just wondered if it could be something easier to resolve or maybe a reaction to something like my shampoo (although not changed it)

I get these all the time, always have. They go crusty and because I'm a minger I enjoy picking the scans off. I have always had a dry scalp though

How do you get rid of them? This one, I have picked off before because I thought maybe it was an ingrown hair and wanted it out (as it feels like constant pressure there) but it just bled and bled and grew back to this lump pretty quickly and the lump is bigger than the red patch that's above the skin.

Ever figure out what this was?

Nope, I just keep going back routinely for steriod cream. Doctor's aren't too sure but they're not worried.
