I need to take eardrops but am breastfeeding a toddler. Has anyone used drops known to be ok during breastfeeding?
How about Gentisone HC Ear Drops? They have a bit of antibiotic in them -- in the erithomycin (sp?) family.
Thanks.

check on kellymom

i think that in general thinsg like creams and drops & stuff you sniff / inhale are Ok as very little goes into your bloodstream

and its less of a problem with a toddler as they are bigger and BM is only part of their diet not all

Thanks for the quick reply. I tend to think you're right about that; one of the GP's at our place said it's topical so it's fine, but I've had other doctors avoid even eardrops and topical ointments that could aggravate. Will check the website. Thanks again.
