How long after stopping vitamin C tablets can I take urine test?

I need to take a repeat dipstick test after trace blood in urine. I've recently started taking vitamin C tablets and have just read that they can cause false negative results. Gah! I'll stop taking them today but how long should I wait before taking the test?

Thanks.

I found out by chance when googling urine test it's definitely a thing. It's mentioned on a number of sites but I can't see anywhere how long to wait once you stop taking them to ensure it won't be in urine. I will stop taking them today. Planned to do the test early next week when well away from period but not sure I'll be reassured if it's negative as I'll be worrying it"s a false negative if I'm not sure the vitamin definitely isn't contaminating the sample! Has no-one heard of this? Comes up on Google. I've worked out its present in blood for up to 30 days but nothing to say how long after it appears in urine. I can ask GP before taking test but, as they're a nightmare to get through to, thought I'd try finding the answer elsewhere first.

Thanks.

Can you not get enough vitamin C from your diet instead?

Can you not get enough vitamin C from your diet instead?

Probably, but that doesn't answer the immediate question. I've not taken them for 2 days now.

Anyone know the answer to this? Planning to do test Tuesday, when I would've been off the tablets for 5 days. Sufficient?

Thanks.
