Long story short I have been getting thrush pretty badly for about 5 years now. I have tried what feels like everything (probiotics, long courses of fluconazole, switching to organic period products and no tampons, not using soap down there, 100% cotton knickers - the list goes on). I now feel like I may have exhausted options and I may need to commit to candida diet (no sugar, no fruit, no gluten, no dairy, no yeast) I have tried the diet before but have only lasted a couple of weeks as it is so restrictive. If I know the diet is temporary I feel it will be more bearable - has anyone done the diet as a temporary measure and stopped their thrush? How long did you stick to the diet for and how strict were you? I know some women remain sugar free forever but that sounds so miserable so any success stories of it working for you would be great!
