Great Ormond Street-Parking?

Hi, we have an early morning appt at Great Ormond St on Friday, just wondered if anyone knew what the parking situation is close to the hospital? There seems to be many car parks in the area but is there one that's less expensive than the others?
Thanks

We parked at Brunswick shopping precinct/cinema area with underground parking ,which seemed a litle cheaper than most. Its a little walk round , but I dont think theres anywere nearer.

Ditto melsy.

No knowledge of GOSH but as a veteran of hospital appointments I always choose somewhere where you can pay on exit. Pay & display tickets have a habit of running out just as your name gets called.

Good luck with the appointment rabbit.

Thanks everyone, I'll aim for Brunswick.

don't forget you'll also need to pay for the congestion charge

rabbitrabbit · 16/01/2008 11:49

I had completely forgotten that! Thanks alot Bundle.

Hi - we've been going to GOSH quite a bit and use the RCP car park which is also close by (Bernard st) and very good (hanging baskets and classical music - in case the cars get stressed?!)It's about the same price as NCP Brunswick.

And you can claim back the congestion charge from mr Livingstone if you're at GOSH with an appointment (don't think it applies to visitors) Just ask the volunteers reception desk as you go in. When we were in there for the day - for small op - you can get a free parking form for the car and park on the street...(if you can find a space!!)

Good Luck

ahhh thats a good thing to know about the congestion charge rebate. We spent a fortune going there several times in Nov/Dec. Wonder if its too late to claim back.

Bless him - sounds like it'll be a cool day out!
And GOSH is an amazing place - not 'hospital' like at all. Hope all goes well!!

Hope you parked easily and got there ok, hope it was a nice day out in the end? We always did something nice after dd1's appointments, so she remembered that also.

Hi Melsy, thanks for your msg. We had a lovely time in the end bizarrely! Ds loved the sights and even went into "dad's office" and charmed all dh's colleagues. Thanks for all the msgs here, you were all a great help x
