Pain meds for infected wisdom tooth

Saw dentist yesterday who prescribed 400mg metronidazole, 400mg ibuprofen and 1000mg paracetamol to be taken immediately and repeated at bedtime to get me through the night.

I can't remember what he said about the level of pain meds today. Dentist doesn't open till 9am but I need to take something urgently as it's all worn off.

Can any dentists advise please?

Pop into a pharmacy. IME, paracetamol and ibuprofen won't touch the sides.

I highly recommend Paramol for dental pain (years of abscesses). A pharmacist will talk you through what you can have in a day as well.

You have my sympathy, it's the worst kind of pain and I get migraine!
