Coming off tamoxifen after five years

I've been on tamoxifen for five years snd came off it as advised by docs three weeks ago. And since then I've realised I'm being very irritable...lots of mood swings and really quite bolshy. For example a bloke refused to reverse his car to let me pass on a narrow road...he tried to make me reverse...but I'd have been backing onto a busy main road. Rather than try to reason with him I just switched off my engine. Has anyone else had this? I'm presuming it is my hormones sort of waking up again....

Well done you for not backing down! If this is hormones then good on them. I don’t know about the tamoxifen question tbh - is there an option to continue taking it? Does it continue to offer protection if used for more than 5 years?

I can only speak for myself, but I don't remember any road rage incidents myself Smile
The logic makes sense though.

Some are advised to keep taking for 10 years but my doctors don't think it's necessary in my case...think it depends on stage/lymphnode involvement etc.
