hello
Please help! Had two back molar's extracted on Friday morning and it was all very traumatic!! There seems to be a dull pain now..not too bad but what is worse is the taste from the socket in my mouth and seemingly it smells a bit too. I am unsure if this is normal healing that takes a wee while or something I need to see the dentist about? Any advice..looking up dry socket info online but seemingly you have a LOT of pain with this which I haven't but it is uncomfortable.
TIA

I use to be dental nurse and have actually had a dry socket myself and it was agony. the type of pain you can't ignore. over whelming.
TBH I'd go and get it checked, might be start or even food caught in socket.
At least this'll bump for you.

I got this after an extraction, I rinsed my mouth out too much too soon, they did tell me not to but I was still sedated whent hey gave me the info.

Went back to dentist, she cleaned it and plugged it again, fine after that.

Yes the pain is awful with a dry socket. When I had one they cleaned it and packed it out with some antiseptic stuff; I think I may have had antibiotics as well.
