So I’m 20 weeks pregnant tomorrow . So far had a rather stressful pregnancy . At ten weeks started getting muscle twitch in my arm /shoulder which progressed to body wide twitches and led to 8 weeks of unberable worry after Googling . Finally seen neuro private who done a clinical exam and said he was not worried and diagnosed bfs triggered by pregnancy .
i suffer chronic migraine and I’m under neuro care and have been for years . I get bad spells lasting weeks on end . Last Wednesday , out of nowhere I experienced a tingling left side of tongue which progressed to left side of face and arm . No droop / slur / weakness . Stayed up all night worrying . Spoke to gp who reassured me probably not stroke related as tingling continues over 24 hours and no progressive symptoms .
Now been nearly a week and tingling continues . Seems worse when lying down . Did develop a migraine two days later ( unaware if connected )
my question is is this likely my migraines presenting differently and is it unusual to persist and is it a potential stroke issue ? I’m also curious whether it has anything to do with the stress I’ve been under due to twitching .
ant opinions would be great :) I do see fetal medicine doctor tomorrow so I am following it through … going on holiday next week and worried I have some major issue ?
