In agony, unsure why this is so painful?

I was told I had skin tags years ago on my bottom

They are NOT painful. But annoying.

Anyway, last night I was in horrific pain and it was my bottom. I took a picture. Coming out of my actual bottom is what looks like a pink little tube (the shape)

Size of a baby's little finger and bright pink. It is SO painful.

Does anyone know what it could be? Obviously it's a Sunday so can't access GP but it feels horrific. Like an open part of my body is being exposed

Thank you for the links! I have to say, it's shocking that the NHS don't explain the different piles. Think mine is type 3 or 4. Feels like a part of my insides in out And feels very wrong, like it shouldn't be exposed to open air

My Gp told me I had piles with my skin tags. I didn't. I had anal fissures (surgery Botox), and skin tags. This was a few years back

@lasttimeyoucalledon I’m going to disagree with the others and say it sounds like a rectal mucosal prolapse. When the inside lining of your bottom telescopes outwards basically. Not an emergency and more common than you might think but get yourself to the doctors at some stage as you will probably need a colorectal referral.
