I've had bouts of sore throats since the beginning of Dec.
Mostly just red and swollen looking.
Got all white and pussey just before Xmas and got a course of Antibiotics. Finished the course and was fine for a week or so. Then on Sat. morning - sore throat again! Go all fevery with it and its just kind of OK today.

Is it ds bringing germs back from nursery (he's been fine all through) - or should I be taking something for my immune system - echinachea?? maybe?

My DD13 had same problem. Continual sore throats. Health shop recommended high dosage Probiotic tablets (much stronger than buying the Yoghurt drinks). Apparently the antibiotics destroys the good bacteria which help your immune fight off further attacks. Worked for my DD and when told remembered had been told this before. Hope it helps, as you must be feeling very run-down. Try to get some rest too (even just 1/2 hour reading a good mag).

I used to suffer a lot with regular sore throats, zinc was recommended and now I take zinc & vit C at any sign and luckily very rarely suffer now - might be worth a try for you.

good point wellies - I had been taking zinc earlier this year and have run out of it must get some more. Was taking garlic and vit c too. Think I'll end up rattling!

same here, i've just had my 2nd bout of tonsilitis in 6 weeks, have never had it before. nightmare.

i've read that silver extract is supposed to be good -i'm trying to track it down on t'internet. supposed to be more effective than echinacea.

sounds like you've had tonsilitis too. same symptoms. if you find something that works, let me know!
