Tongue fasciculations- worried about MND

Hi everyone,

I had a sore tongue after eating really salty crisps - went to look at it in the mirror and my tongue is dancing around everywhere without me moving it.

I had lots of twitches in my leg when I was B12 deficient about 4 years ago. So comforting myself it could be this. But I have studied adult neurology and very aware tongue twitching is an early sign of ALS/MND.

I have an 18month old daughter so freaking out hard. I have a GP call tomorrow, but I was wondering if anything had any helpful advice in the mean time? thanks in advance 😣

It's easy to let your mind jump to the worse conclusion but is that the most likely conclusion? Probably not.

I had a really wired vibration in my leg when I looked down. Dr thought tethered spinal cord but it was likely irritation from calcification around a disk prolapse and has completely gone now.

So dont let your imagination run away it could a million things or nothing.

People I know of who had MND started with tripping .

How did your GP call go OP? Have you had any other MND signs?
