Over the last few weeks I have been having problems with my legs and arms if I stay in one position for too long I get pins and needles and a dead arm/leg. I used to sleep curled up but have to keep my legs straight or i get pain behind my knees. I thought it was due to my weight but having lost a stone and a half the problem has not gone away. Am I being a hypercondriac or should I see the Doctor?

I have exactly the same thing. I seem to have noticed it more after losing weight (nearly 2 stone) also. Can't really remember how long it has been like this - think I might just have noticed it more now iyswim! My Dad used to suffer from it along with cramp, so maybe it is in my genes. It does seem a fairly common problem, although I don't want to alarm you but I have noticed that some of the people who suffer from it have Diabetes. I had gestational diabetes 14 years ago when pregnant with DS3 - just hope I'm not going to develop it now. It probably has absolutely nothing to do with blood sugar levels - just a common theme seemed to emerge when I spoke to friends. Some people have told me to change my pillow, as it could be due to poor sleeping positions. I asked a pharmacist who said that I should ask my DR to prescribe Quinine, if it was affecting my sleep. Sorry can't be more help.
